I have recently decided to add this page to this website. If you are a Pro-Brewer care-giver who would like to be listed here, or know of a practice you would recommend to others, please email me with the name, address, phone number, email address, and website address of that practice. I will be listing this information country-by-country, and state-by-state for the U.S. I hope that it will be very helpful for parents looking for care-givers who fit their needs, and for care-givers looking for additional information or mutual support. Registry I is the international listing, and Registry II & Registry III are the U.S. listings.

I will not be screening any of the names submitted to this registry, so there are no guarantees stated or implied regarding their practices. However, here is a suggested list of questions which parents can use to help them find out whether a particular care-giver fits their unique needs.

If you interview or engage any of the care-givers in this list, I would greatly appreciate it if you would send me your feedback on how closely s/he follows the Brewer methods.

Suggested Questions to Ask Your Care-Giver

--How long do your prenatal visits usually last?

--When you take a patient history, do you also take a diet history and an herbal use history?

--How much time do you usually spend talking about nutrition at each prenatal visit?

--What kind of diet and eating style do you usually recommend for your clients?

--In what ways do you advise your clients to adjust their nutrition to deal with their unique needs and lifestyles (such as exercise, work, stress, season, environment temperature, travel, moving)?

--What is your philosophy about weight gain in pregnancy?

--What range of weight gain are you comfortable with for pregnancy?

--Do you screen for gestational diabetes? If so, what test do you use for that screening?

--What are your usual ways of treating gestational diabetes?

--What is your philosophy about the use of salt in pregnancy?

--What are your usual suggestions for how the mother should deal with edema in pregnancy?

--What are your usual suggestions for mothers with blood pressures that are creeping up, or blood pressures that are too high?

--What are your usual ways of detecting the earliest stages of the development of pre-eclampsia?

--What are your usual ways of treating pre-eclampsia?

--What are your usual ways of treating IUGR?

--What range of birth weights do you consider to be optimal, healthy birth weights?

--What is the average birth weight of babies born in your practice?

--How many babies born under your care this past year had a birth weight under 7 lbs, 2 oz?

--What is the biggest baby that you've had born vaginally without forceps or vacuum extraction under your care?

--How many babies were born before 38 weeks' gestation under your care in the past year?

--What are your usual ways of treating premature labor?

--How many babies were born at over 41 weeks' gestation without being induced, under your care this past year?

--How many pregnancies or babies have you had in the past year with the following conditions:

  • blood pressure needing hospitalization
  • pre-eclampsia
